ARRT The ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) is the organization that provides registry examinations for the radiologic sciences. This organization has two primary functions that affect radiologic technologists. One, is the administration of the registry exam that is accepted by most states as proof of competency in order to practice one of the radiological sciences. Second, is setting the standards for continuing education as well as accrediting organizations as a RCEEM (Recognize Continuing Education Evaluation Mechanism). ASRT The ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) is the world's largest professional society for radiologic technologists. In addition to performing the normal functions of many professional societies the ASRT has been accredited as a RCEEM. This means that courses that have received accreditation through the ASRT, such as all courses from FastCE.com, are acceptable to the ARRT as certified continuing education courses. In addition, many states recognize courses certified by the ASRT as acceptable continuing education for individual state licenses. It is the responsibility of all individuals to verify with their individual state licensure board accepts courses certified by the ASRT are acceptable for meeting the continuing education requirements for their individual state.
